6 great reasons to use HAP

1. Safe and Natural

Originally discovered by NASA in the 1960s, Hydroxyapatite is just as effective against cavities as fluoride. The difference? Hydroxyapatite is a natural substance also found in the body. It’s identical to the minerals in teeth and safe even in large amounts.

2. Repairs and Remineralizes

Tiny particles of Hydroxyapatite can penetrate microscopic defects and pores in the enamel, filling them in and helping to restore the tooth’s mineral structure. This process may even reverse early stages of cavities. Unlike fluoride, which mainly strengthens teeth against future acid attacks, Hydroxyapatite can repair existing damage. Studies indicate that continued use of Hydroxyapatite can lead to thorough remineralization of initial caries lesions.

3. Reduces Sensitivity

Hydroxyapatite can block microscopic channels in the dentin (the layer beneath enamel), which become exposed when enamel wears down or the gums recede. By sealing these pathways to nerve endings, it effectively reduces sensations of pain from temperature changes or pressure.

4. Whitens naturally

Hydroxyapatite fills surface irregularities and microscopic cracks in the enamel, creating a smoother and more reflective surface. This natural smoothing effect can lead to a noticeable whitening of the teeth over time. When used in toothpaste, Hydroxyapatiteparticles produce an immediate whitening effect by filling in microdefects, restoring lost minerals, and adhering to the enamel surface.

5. Manages plaque and bacteria

Hydroxyapatite helps control the layer of bacteria that forms on teeth, known as biofilm or plaque. Studies show that Hydroxyapatite has anti-plaque properties and can release calcium and phosphate ions. These ions help keep the mouth’s pH balanced, reducing the acids produced by cavity-causing bacteria.

Extraordinary Ingredients

For extraordinary smiles
At  frsh we believe exceptional oral care starts with exceptional ingredients. While Hydroxyapatite is our hero ingredient for protecting and strengthening your teeth, it’s only part of the story. Our philosophy is to combine the best of science and nature, using carefully selected ingredients that work harmoniously to promote a healthy mouth.

“A naturally occurring mineral and our hero ingredient – it’s super safe and has amazing properties that go far beyond caries protection - they range from sensitivity reduction to natural whitening”

Hyaluronic Acid

"The hyaluronic acid in our toothpaste promotes healing in oral tissues, supporting overall gum health."

Xylitol

“Xylitol is a natural sweetener found in many fruits and vegetables. It helps reduce cavity-causing bacteria, promoting a healthier oral environment.”
